Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC/Minority and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the General category are given financial help through this grant. For the academic year 2022–2023, it is open to students enrolled in pre-matric (Classes 9 and 10) and post-matric levels (Classes 11, 12, undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., diploma, or any certificate degree). UP Scholarship 2022-23

An ambitious state-government program called the UP ScholarshipScheme aims to give pre- and post-matriculated students financial support so they can finish their education. Through the SAKSHAM online portal, students attending schools and universities within the state (and occasionally beyond the state) may apply for the grant. To ensure that students from all backgrounds can benefit fully from the program, the state of Uttar Pradesh has created various categories of incentives. The following are the specifics of the schemes:

• UP Pre-Matric Scheme: This program is for students in classes 9 and 10.
• UP Post-Matric Inter Class 11-12: For students studying in Classes 11 and 12.
• UP Post-Matric Other Than Inter: Students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, Ph.D., and other higher studies.
• UP Post-Matric Outside the State:  Students belonging to UP and pursuing their post-matric studies outside UP.
